Dave’s primary focus is providing patient care for chronic pain & sports injury management. He mentors and educates therapists in practical orthopaedic injury management & manual therapy. Dave received his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education/Kinesiology and Psychology (Honours) at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada (1995). He also holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada (1997). He has additional training in Mulligan Concepts, Taping, Acupuncture, MacKenzie protocols, Active Release Technique, and Muscle Balancing (Sarhman and Cumerford) and has completed a Residency and Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapy. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapy and the Canadian Physical Therapy Association.
In the field of sports medicine, Dave has provided prevention, injury management and emergency action plans for events ranging from track and field to rugby. He has also participated in a variety of sports at a provincial level through high-school and played Senior A hockey through university. He continues to enjoy recreational hockey, volleyball and soccer.
