Pilates

Pilates is a method of physical exercise designed to strengthen the core by developing pelvic stability and abdominal control. The body will redevelop its natural foundation, which is often hindered by poor posture and motor control issues resulting from modern day living, injury or illness. This concentration of work within the core (abdominals, lower back, and hip musculature) results in more fluid, efficient movements. Pilates requires true internal core strength and control through proper breathing and muscle activation to promote harmonized movement, improve posture, and create a balanced body. Pilates rehabilitation encompasses elements of mobility, strength and physical fitness. Our Stott Pilates instructor will work with you one on one to achieve these goals.
