All of our Physiotherapists at Archway are mentored weekly by a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapy (FCAMPT) and are working to complete their fellowships.
CAMPT is Canada’s member organization of the International Federation of Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT) which is part of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy and the World Health Organization. CAMPT’s role is to advance orthopaedic manual therapy practice, education and research in Canada, and to monitor Canadian education programs to ensure they continue to meet the standards of IFOMPT
Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapy (CAMPT) members are all physiotherapists, who have chosen to focus their skills in the area of orthopaedics (muscle, nerve and joint problems). They treat patients using manual therapy and specifically tailored exercise programs, along with other Physiotherapy modalities (acupuncture, ultrasound, etc.).
In addition to an entry-level university education, CAMPT Physiotherapists have completed extensive, internationally recognized post-graduate education focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of complicated muscle and joint problems. This education consists of several years of ongoing courses and standardized examinations, or a return to university to complete a degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy
